Minster of Health, Dr Christopher Tufton has lauded the Seventh-day Adventist institution for allowing offices at the West Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists to be used as a medical hub following challenges at the Cornwall Regional Hospital in St. James.

Since March this year, some of the offices have been housing several outpatient services.

“What the Seventh-day Adventist institution has done is to provide leadership, and in a time of need, this organization was able to give selflessly to the service of mankind and I think that is the greatest teaching example,” said the Minister of Health.

He was speaking at the recent Adventist Professionals Business Leaders Convention and Community Services Expo.

Dr Tufton also encouraged the patrons at the expo to continue working as innovators in an effort to create solutions to some of the problems facing the nation. “The government can’t do it alone; the Health Ministry is so stressed. I would love to encourage you to be a part that solution.”

The annual Adventist Professionals Business Leaders Convention and Community Services Expo highlights the products, skills and services offered by Adventist Business Owners.
