The
College of Natural Applied Sciences facilitates the Departments of Biology and
Chemistry, Computer & Information Sciences, and Mathematics and
Engineering. The members of the
Department of Biology and Chemistry believe that knowledge of life in all its
varied forms and functions contributes to one‘s mental, social and spiritual
health. The Department‘s goal is to provide the church and the world with
workers who understand the processes of life and are dedicated to its
preservation.

The Department strives to
ensure that its students receive a general education in the biological and chemical
sciences, are prepared for
further academic pursuits within medical and paramedical sciences, or graduate
school, are trained biology and chemistry teachers and prepared persons for employment in biological, chemical, and
environmental science medical laboratory facilities within academia, industry,
and government as well as to prepare
persons for the traditional and non-traditional fields related to the
biological and chemical sciences.
