Overview Community Services – NCU Church 1998-2004

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in all its branches of service has given increasing evidence that “they are a Caring Community of Believers” carrying out the great commission of Jesus found in the 25th Chapter of Matthew as well as the sterling example of Jesus.

As such the Community Services Department of the University Church is pleased to give the following brief report on our work of enduring love, mercy and compassion spanning the last six years.

  • Clothing – over 500 pieces distributed to needy  persons in the community and the University.
  • Food – over 100 persons from the community and the University received food items monthly.
  • Cash Expended – over $4,000.00 dollars.
  • Fire disaster victims - Total twelve. Immediate family members plus extended family.
  • Spiritual Impact - Many have hope of a better life when Jesus returns. Prisoners enrolled in Discovery Bible Courses conducted by Bible School at West Indies Union headquarters - some baptized in Seventh-day Adventist faith upon their release 2002-2003.
  • Church Visits and Participation – We conduct worship, Bible Discussions, Fellowship.  We do preaching, teaching, spiritual counseling and grief/trauma counseling.  Prisoners are treated with personal items, Christmas treats and gifts.   They participate with songs and testimonies of faith.
