Dr. KARLENE ELLOWEEN SINCLAIR, M.D.

This Northern Caribbean University alumna is a medical doctor who graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, having completed her Diploma in Natural Sciences from Northern Caribbean University (NCU).

Dr. Sinclair has training and experience in Trauma and Critical Care Medicine and currently serves as Chief of Trauma and Assistant Professor of Surgery, Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.

Even with her many professional involvements, Dr. Sinclair has found time to sponsor and mentor many students at NCU and over the years has supported numerous university projects and endeavours.

Some of her honours and awards include:-

  • The Chairman’s Award: Department of Surgery Howard University Hospital Washington, DC.
  •  Outstanding Service Award: Department of Surgery  District of Columbia General Hospital Washington, DC
  •  Third Prize: Drew-Walker Surgical Residents Forum. National Medical Association, 95th Annual Scientific Convention.  Las Vegas, NV
  • Loma Linda University Minority Scholarship
  • Lloyd and Thelma Dayes, MD Scholarship
